Alert:  King Samir Shabazz (legal name Maurse Heath) . New Black Panther National Field Marshall and Million Youth March 15yr anniversary Security Chief was arrested on Thursday June 20th shortly after a Million Youth March news conference. Samir was arrested by New York Police Department officers on 7th ave Near 123rd street following a security survey of the March site at the Harlem State Office Building.

Shabazz is expected to be indicted on Wed June 26th.

The New York Post reported on June 21st  that Shabazz (Heath) is charged and held for allegedly  violating New York Gun Laws relating to weapons possession.

On Monday July 1 at Sylvias Restaraunt in Harlem, at 630 pm, Heath's attorney, Malik Shabazz, City Councilman Charles Barron and other community leaders will rally on Shabazz behalf.

"We firmly believe that Samir Shabazz was the victim of an unlawful and illegal stop and frisk,  which is the unconstitutional pattern of New York Cops.  We believe that he was targeted and followed because of his Black Panther attire and his connection to the Million Youth March"  said Attorney Malik Shabazz , Samir Shabazz attorney, party chairman and March leader.

The accused, Samir Shabazz was at the center of a national "voter intimidation" scandal and 2008 incident at a polling place in Philadelphia that has been a serious issue between Republicans and the U. S. Justice Department for years.  In that case Holder and the Obama Administration is criticized for dropping the charges against the Panthers.  Several Obama Administration appointees, including Thomas Perez, have had their Administration appointments held up due to the Panther scandal.

In this case Shabazz arrest comes on the eve of the 15th year anniversary of the 1998 Million Youth March which was convened by the controversial Dr. Khallid Muhammad and his aide, Attorney Malik Zulu Shabazz.

Samir Shabazz, before arrested was doing security work to prepare for the massive rally which will take place on the Harlem Office Building Plaza located on 125th st and Adam Clayton Powell.  Organizers say thousands are expected to attend the rally to promote better education, ending violence and Black Power and Pride amongst community youth.
